Missing uncle Blainey poo

My kids & I have decided that we miss uncle Blaine. (AKA, my baby Bro) He is in the gaurd and off for training, we will still not see him for a couple more months, he has been gone since July. How sad for us:( From his letters it sounds like things are going well for him, although not easy. We are super proud of him!

Brexen you stinker!

Oh I know that this was only an INTIRE loaf of bread strung all over the living room. But, my days have been filled with so much mischeif these past few days! Infact, that is a huge understatement. I used to not really understand what people were talking about when they would go on and on about the trouble that there boys would find themselves in. Well Brex has been doing his best to make up for lost time. I cant even begin to tell you the naughty things he has done. This was one of them that I wasn't sooooo mad about, that I was able to stay calm and just get the camera knowing that I would laugh in no time about it. HOWEVER, yesterdays troubles I was not so calm about. Yes I know that I work from home and have been lucky to have good kids who wonder in and out of the room and play nicely, watch a little cartoons and just be good kids for the most part.
Now for the damage that was done yesterday, I come in to my kitchen and find pencil drawn ALL over my walls, hmmm not so happy but I know that I can use my magic earse on that one. NEXT as I am calling Brad and sharing with him what Brex has done, I turn the corner into my main Kitchen, and OHHHHH MY ________________!!! He has taken a black Permanent marker and colored the front of ALL of my kitchen cabinents, and the front of our stainless steel fridge. I cant imagine what Brad was thinking as I was all but in tears and panicking about this over the phone. I then explained what I was seeing. Can I tell you how much I LOVE those magic erase things, they seriously took all of that off without hardly any elbow greese and it didnt ruine the finish or anything, truly AMAZING! I am scared for all that I am in for with my CUTE little man:) oh ya and doesnt his new little boots look so cute! he marches all over the house in those.

The Jungle Book

Brittany is going to be trying out a little community theatre. She went in for auditions a couple weeks ago and sang a song and then had to learn a little dance to see how well they follow instructions. She made the part of a "Jazz Elephant" and is starting practices tonight. Her performances will be in Nov. If you want more info on dates and times go to: qcpac.com. She doesnt have a shy bone in her body, so this should be right up her alley.

I'm getting the itch!

I dont know if it the heat that always seems to just drag on FOREVER this time of year? but I have been thinking that it's time to get away:) Anywhere we go probley can in NO way be as great as our trips to Hawaii. We love that place! We have told the kids we will go again in a few yrs, but that is seeming a long ways away to even me:) Maybe we will have to settle for a trip to Disneyland instead. I think its just beach that I am craving.

Britt's Birthday party

All the girls & Brex had a Blast at the party, they are so goofy! I love this age, all the kids just make me laugh to be around them. Londyn & Brex totally joined the party and thought is was the best to have all those girls oggling over them.
Britt didnt want a cake this year, she wanted worms and dirt. So that is what she got, it was a hit! I dont know how many more years we can use that one though, we were running out of room trying to stick the 10 candles in there.
get ready for the movie, although that didnt last to long. The girls were to hyper, they ended up playing american idol for the last part. Some great voices in the group!!! seriously!

This one is a little late also, I guess that is what happens when I am using 2 different cameras all the time. I forget what I need to post about when I dont download both cards at the same time. Better late than never!

Quick bit of info that will probley embarass Brittany. But she just got her FIRST boy calling the house for her tonight. Ewwwwww Zack:))) Obviously other boys have called but only as friends. Oh no Brad time to get your shotgun ready:))

Brittany is a 5th grader!

So I am now exactly a week late posting this one. My not so little anymore girly is now an official 5th grader! Her teacher is Ms. Davis, and so far she is very pleased with her. They did there assessment testing on the first day of school to find out which levels they are at for placment. I am pleased to say that Brittany has continued to advance and is now meeting with the 6th and some 7th graders for math:) She is also in a higher reading class. Great Job Britt, Keep up the good work! Also wish me luck, I used to be really good at math and in helping her with homework I am going to have to see if I can remember any of it, ahhh that is bad when you can no longer help your kids with their work.

Brex found this dog and was hooked, it was a great dane and was only 6 months old. I am glad that it liked kids because mine wouldnt leave it alone. Brex was piling sand on its back.

Britt was out in the canoe most of the time, then Lydia and her decided to swim to the island. I dont think they realized how far it really was. We towed them back on the end of our boats because they were beat!

I am sure you are thinking, "what are they doing walking through a feild of dirt?" well, playing frizbee golf of course, it is really fun! we played several rounds and really got preety good. One downfall is that if we wernt already dirty enough from camping, we managed to get even dirtier! Our shoes and feet were soooooo yuck! owell the price of having a good time is steep:)
Brad busted out a ton of games of pool, did quite well if I dont say so myself.
Oh and lets not forget about all the GREAT food we partook in! Ang thanks for the food demo!!

Bridge to Terabithia

Brittany has taken up permanent residency on this swing.

This is what the kids call "Bridge to terabithia" and they were preety much not around from the minute we arrived to my parents cabin. They ran off to this secret place in the woods and played the whole time. It is really cool, you can see why the kids love it!!!

Family reunion part 1

So this is the BEAST that we had to pull up to the fam reunion! it is so nice to have it while we are there, but the pull takes just that little bit longer that feels like an eternity after being in the car forever already.

I did my wifely duty and joined my hubby while he shot some guns. Ha ha, I did have a good time. I just had to shoot the "huge I dont know what kind of gun", it just looked so cool that I new that one was a gun I was interested in. Poor Brex was so tired that he was able to sleep through all those shots. He was in the toy hauler just a little ways away.
