Disney on Ice

This weekend I went with my girls and also my sis in law Tracy and her daughter Jersie to go and see Disney On Ice it was all the Princesses. We all had a great time, we had to get all the goodies of cotten candy, lighted spinner things( I totally know we could buy at target for just a couple dollars but there spent $20), and for Brittany the minnie ears. The things we do for our kids! But I do have to say that it makes the experiece that much greater:)) This was totally a last minute thing we decided to do & I am so glad that we did. I will get a slide show going to show some of our fun pictures. Enjoy!

What the PINK hair?

I admit it, I totally gave in to this PINK hair idea. However in my own defense, I did only do a little bit and it is in a preety descreet place. whooo now that I have that off of my chest. Now I can tell you that it totally looks cute on Brittany. She has been dying to have this done, so I thought with it being valentines day, pink would be appropriate. Poor Londyn felt so left out that we made her a clip in pink extension. she thinks she is so princess like:))) well duh, she is a princess.

Acheivment Day activity

So, I am in acheivment days with 2 super fun ladies, Amber & Jewel. we always have a good time, I totally love this calling the best of all my calling that I have searved in. we have quite a few girls. So we wanted to do an extra fun activity to let the girls know how great they are, and take advantage of this nice weather we have been having. So this past Tuesday we had the activity at my house and had a fire pit to roast marshmellos for smores, drank hot cocoa, and told some great stories. I think that it was a hit with the girls. I know us leaders had fun! I especially like that Brittany is a part of this group of girls, so I get to get to know her friends. Also she still thinks I am COOL! I know that this may not last forever with her, so I try to soak it up while I can. Maybe I will be one of the lucky moms that has a daughter that doesnt think I am a total dork:)

Loving the little things in my day:)))

So how is it that a kid can eat a rice crispy treat that has been totally coated in sand, and still LOVE it??? Brex and Londyn spend most of there days outside playing in the backyard. This means lunch often takes place outside. For Brex, I think he feels "what better way than to eat on the go". Now with Londyn, she takes her lunch up in her playhouse, which is on the swingset over the sandbox. Trust me, I do offer to help. (But anyone who has a 3 yr old knows that this is a very independant age, so needless to say she does like to do things on her own.) So after climbing the ladder with a plate in her hands and dropping half the items into the sand below, she climbs back down to retreive those items and is totally happy to get them back to the top. Infact a new one that I caught her doing today was sliding her carrots down the slide and chasing after them, she then found them in the sand, brushed them off and then downed them. So lunch somhow or another always comes into contact with the sand. It totally makes me sick to think of the sand crunchin between teeth, yuuckkkk! But I guess that is part of being a kid, to just let them learn for themselfs that sand isn't a staple to the diet. Atleast they are eating and not loosing out on any essential play time. Ok, now lets talk about londyn and her new headband. This is thanks to the dressup clothes that she got from nana for Christmas. She has decided that she needs to wear this so she doesnt sweat. Try to figure that one out, but that is what she tells me. ONe of the days she wore it with a dressup skirt and looked a little like a hippie. The other day she looked just like a cute little pocahontas.

Maui, Hawaii trip, Were Back!

So I just want to say that Brad was the official camera man on our trip, so there are a bunch of our pics that he wasnt in, but just for the record he WAS there for all of it:)))))
I am happy to say that I finally have a little extra time to tell you all about our Hawaii trip. Brad & I flew to Maui along with my parents and my 2 bros. We were gone for a week and had a blast! However a week was about 3 days to long without my kids, I really missed them the last bit. The weather was so great, Brad & I originally rented a Jeep wrangler that I HATED, so after 2 days of that, I had Brad go and exchange it for a Mustange convertable. And let me just say, that is the way to do Maui! we did so many different things this trip, than last year when we took the kids. We went on this Zipline tour through Ecoline, that was such a rush, I am really quite afraid of heights and was worried that I would chicken out, but I finally had decided that worst case would be that somone could just push me off of each side and then I wouldn't have a choice. But I did manage to make the jumps on my own. We did 8 different Zips with the first one being 350 yrds and the longest being 1000 yrds. We would get going sooooo fast. and would stop by running up this ramp thing. I will be getting some of those photos on here soon. We went to the "Old Lahaina Luau" the show is great, and so is the food. We took one of our best tours through "Quick Silver" starting by them serving us Breakfast and then going to Mulikkini island to snorkle, they then took us over to turtle bay to snorkle with the turtles, that was so great! at times we were only feet away from these huge turtles. The water clarity was amazing, if I remember right they said that day the clarity was 12o ft in the water, and let me tell you, off of the side of the boat you could see perfectly down through the water to see details in fish etc.. we then had a barbeque on the boat and we went out whale watching, we found several groups of whales to watch and got to see them be preety active. Brad & I love watching the whales, it is one of our favorite things to do. Infact, we spent lots of time right off of our hotel balcony watching the whales and also at breakfast each morning we were able to sit at our table and watch them. So another one of the days we spent on the road to Hana, that was a super fun day, we hiked a few of the trails getting really muddy, and went to see the black sand beaches, we stopped and hiked through the underground lava caves, and lots more, on the way back we watched the surfers. On Sunday we found a church meeting to attend, it was fun to meet new people. The people there all seem so relaxed and life is just so much more slow paced. My mom and I got plenty of shopping in (SORRY BOYS), and most importantly for all of us we managed to eat 2 of our dinners at the yummiest place in Maui "Bubba Gump's" you cannot go to Maui and not eat there! We all spent oddles of time in the sun on the beach, I still dont feel like I got enough, it was fantastic! the boys played catch with the football forever:) , we also did a blachlight minature golf game. so that was alot of our trip, we LOVE hawaii, but we did decide that we will wait like 5 yrs to go again with the kids. That way the kiddos will be a little older to be able to do alot of the activities with us. Hawaii for our family has both times been everything we wanted it to be!
