Oh the joy of the Dr's office:)

" Tis the season", and dont mean to be JOlly. I mean to make atleast 2 trips a week to the doctors. Yes my SRP bill might go down, but I spend every dime of that extra money at the doctors.
Last monday I took Brex in for an ear infection. Oh how nice, that he is able to now tell me his ear hurts so that I dont have to play the guessing game. Sure enough he had a double infection, so he was given amoxicillin that he has had before. However, this time after taking his entire weeks worth of daily doses, he did what Londyn did a year ago and broke out in a horrible rash and hives, so off to the doctors we go again. This is telling us that our kids are no longer able to take this because there bodies can all the sudden become allergic to this. Good news from that visit was that his infection had cleared up. But he has continued to be stuffy and not be quite himself, and on sat and sunday he was feavered the whole time. It being monday morning today we were off back to the doc's and sure enough he now has another double ear infection, so we are on a new antibiotic. we were told that if he gets anymore that he needs to get tubes in his ears. HOpefully not, but I guess lots of kids get them so we would deal with it if he had too.

Funny how it becomes easier and easier to torture your children:)) just kidding, but when the doc was leaving the room, he asked if any of us (Britt on fall break, londyn, brex or I) would like a flu shot????? hmmmm, sure all of us please. I was just thinking it could cut down on our winter visits. Ohh you would have thought that I just announced the end of the world. Of all of my kids, it was Britt who started crying with fear of the needle. It didnt help that we had to wait another 15 min in the room with the antisipation continued building of how bad it was going to be.

Brex went first, with a few tears but the bandaid fixed all. Londyn just scowled and said Ohh that hurt. Next was Britt, I seriously had to pry her out of the chair and all but sit on her while the nurse stabbed her:) I think even being 10 the bandaid helped a little:) next I got mine also. Afterwards we all felt the need to hit a target and get us a suprise for doing so good.

Backyard camping adventure

This was our backyard camping adventure. we had wanted to go up to payson to camp and then listen to confrence on the satalite but when we checked what the weather was going to be we found out that we would have been in rain the whole weekend.
so in an attempt to not disappiont the kids, we decided we could do almost all of the things we had planned right in our own backyard.
the kids had blast! and so did Brad and I:)
this was a great camping site, it came with flushing toilets, internet access, phone service and even a tub to bath everyone up before climbing into our sleeping bags.
brad and I went inside for a few minutes to let the kids fall asleep, Brex was so excited to be in the tent that he couldnt stop playing so we let him in with us for a bit and this shows how worn out he was to be able to zonk out on the floor.

All the boys all geared up getting ready to take off the first morning.

I love Nostrils and cheese!

Last night we had a busy night. We rushed from Cottage fair at Britt's school right off to dance class for both of the girls, dinner was just skipped. So after all was said and done we stopped at a circle K and I asked the girls if they wanted Nachos for dinner, Londyn said "Hu?" and I replied "you know, Nachos with cheese on them" Londyn then said "MMM I Love Nostrils with cheese!!!" Britt and I died laughing:) These will never be called Nachos again

Won't my mommy be so proud of me:)

After years of not canning, I decided that it was time to do it. I used to always have a bowl of my moms canned peaches everytime that we went for a visit, but we finished those off a long time ago. Ever since I have told myself that I needed to do my own. Here I am like a million years later finally doing it.
Brittany really enjoyed helping me also
Britt is really great in the kitchen!
this is what Brex and Londyn were doing while we worked

It does just seem wrong that it is still way warm enough to run through the sprinkler and be fine. I am ready for it to not reach 100 every day.

Seriously eggs?

I know what all you moms are thinking out there, Kayla do you ever watch your kids! The answer is YES I do, but beleive it or not, I somtimes need to use the bathroom, shower, clean, take out trash, vaccumme, make beds, fold clothing, and oh ya, work Full time from home. no my son is not strapped to the front of my chest so that I can see him at all times. This morning I was visiting with a friend heaven forbid, and this is what we walked in to see Brex up to after only minutes left alone. I am glad that Jen was able to encourage me to grab my camera before helping me dive in to clean this mess up. Thanks Jen!!! Can you beleive that Londyn was seriously sad about this only because it was now that she decided that she really wanted some eggs to eat, UMMM Sorry, mommy will buy eggs later sweety:) I am thinking that I need to start my son his own blog to document all the tourture he is putting me through while being little, what do ya think? Wish me luck, I am headed back to work!

what a mess

I am sure the picture says it all. This is the story of my life latley! it is one huge mess after another. I sure hope my kids are having a great time at the expense

of there mothers insanity:) I am probley no longer the neat freek that I once was, and that is not because I choose not to be, it is because HOW IN THE WORLD can I possibly keep up with mess after mess of this magnitude? It's funny how I am able to look at this entire box of goldfish that was stompted to crumbs on my kitchen floor and just shrug my sholders and not even be angry. Infact if anything it maked me laugh, and I just think to myself "hmm it could be worse", and i really mean it.

We are getting warmed up for Halloween over at our pad

Londyn got her new halloween costume yesterday and couldnt wait to try it on. Umm we havent gotten it off of her since. And Brex was feeling left out, so I had to dig out some old costumes that I had run accross in the garage a little while ago. To bad Barney isnt popular, Brex makes a cute one:)
oh and I guess we already owned a ladybug costume from when Britt was little. However this is a super thick fleece material, and we all know that noone would last 10min in this thing in Arizona at Halloween, it is still way to hot for this. We used that one while we had normal halloween weather in Utah.
Britt and I are seriously considering our great costumes. For those of you who cant remember what I am ( I only say this because I couldnt remember to save my life) that I am a power puff Girl! I am thinking Barney is a good look for Britt also!

Londyn's first day of preschool

Here is lu-lu all ready for school. She has been wearing her backpack for 3 days straight
Brexen wanted to be in a picture too.

Londyn and her little friend Audry
It has felt like forever for londyns school to start this year. Every day for the past month since Britt started she has asked if today she got to go to school also. Finally the day came!

edible playdough

For any of you who watch "jon & kate plus 8" faithfully remember that they made an edible playdough. And she gave out the recipe. I have wanted to make it for the kids ever since, so I finally got around to it. They loved to play with it, it kept them busy for awhile.
Brex wore it best!
the girls having fun! and yes londyn's hair is in 2 different hairstyles:))

Edible playdough: equal parts
honey
penut butter
dry milk
flour to thicken to a nice consistancy

Marriott part 2

Daddy out for a swim with the kids
Brittany getting in the pool
Brex having a blast!
there was this fun little splash pad that was great
oh here is another bubble bath shot:)

The kids had such a great time at the waterpark there. It has a big lazy river, water slide, and several pools and hottubs and the splashpad. Needless to say they were never board.
